Located in South Kensington the Drawing Rooms is the place to enjoy an interactive Science Afternoon Tea which will surprise and delight with a very unique experience. The room is decorated with deep sofas and studded armchairs in scarlet velvets and kingfisher blues which has a nice cosy feel.
What I mean by interactive is that I got to make my own lemonade in a beaker with syringes, pipettes and a stirrer (things you would find in a laboratory) and using a brush to ‘find the fossils’ (which are dinosaurs shaped biscuit and chocolate). This really is a great place for both children and adults!
I tried the Vegetarian option (because I felt like it) and it was delicious! I particularly like the truffle egg mayonnaise on toasted focaccia. I highly recommend the scones with honey toffee on squeeze tube (toothpaste tube). It is so delicious, so different from the traditional strawberry jam. You can even add toppings on your scones such as freeze dried raspberry crispy, chocolate biscuit crunch ball! This is an afternoon tea I will return for!
